Doing a grow journal today, this is The Church, by Green House Seeds
This one has been on my radar for a while, and fortunately, seed banks often give it away as a freebie. So I decided to give it a go.
The lineage is interesting on the Church, it’s a mix of Swiss sativa, a couple Skunks (one Super) and Northern Lights. Tastes are very European, I’d say. With that being said, I’d say the tastes are unique within the grouping of European Skunk tastes. But I’d take that with a grain of salt, this isn’t where my main interest lies.
I found the olfaction characterized by bright skunk and pine, with the resonance of a ringing (church) bell. My version wasn’t prominent, but I still found that the tastes strong enough to know they didn’t meet my palate.
This grow was fraught with errors, so I don’t feel like I got to know this cultivar fully. This Church was an unlucky neighbour to a vigorous Gage Green cultivar, so it was constantly being encroached on. The phenotype I grew made long inter-nodal space which helped this situation, the Church was able to push several arms through the trellis, but growth on the lowers was fairly restricted.
Cool to see, none the less. I’d recommend checking the picture on the Green House website, their flower looks crazy. I elude to in the review, I’d want to try an expertly grown version of the Church before I try growing it again. Also, this plant supposedly flowers by the end of September, so possibly attractive for outdoor growth as well.
Here’s my loose take on it, thanks for reading.
