Hey pancakenap here. Thanks for joining me for today's review of MTL's Jungl' Cake.

Jungle Cake got on my radar during the Area 51 review, it's involved in the lineage of that Pure SunFarms offering.

Jungle Cake Lineage

Seedfinder attributes this one to Seed Junky and they say it's a cross of White Fire #43 and Wedding Cake.

Visuals

My eighth consists of one large bud accompanied by a scatter of smaller buds, most of which exhibit good development. The coloration remains in the green tones, and there aren’t many stigmas visible over the coat of trichomes. The development and trim are satisfactory.

Feel

The feel is satisfactory, but applying slight pressure can break down these buds easily. They grind to a finer consistency.

Scent

The aroma emanating from the jar is rich and sweet, reminiscent of maple syrup. Grinding the buds releases some varnished gases, revealing a blend of sweet petrol and warm gingerbread notes. While not overwhelmingly pungent, the scent is above average in intensity.

Taste

The flavour profile presents a robust and sweet frontage, akin to smoky maple syrup. Its character is deeply sweet, layered with hints of vanilla cake and subtle almond undertones. The longevity in the vaporizer is impressive, maintaining a fairly consistent profile that slowly dries down, retaining its sweetness throughout the experience.

Summary

For the price, I think you can be pretty pleased with the quality seen here. However, the flavour profile offered by this flower is very similar to other cake-type offerings in the market.
