Hey pancakenap here today with another review of a Canadian gummy product. This is Kanha Strawberry, from Reef Organic.
For these gummy reviews I grab one offering from every brand available on the provincial online store (that I haven’t seen yet).
I take photos of everything and a dietician summarizes the ingredients, while noting anything interesting.
From there I make a few observations while consuming the gummy. Finally I note the price and content.
- 11 ingredients
- 2 sweeteners: glucose, granulated sugar
- Gelatin powder, agar, locust bean,
- Natural flavouring
- Natural colour
- Mineral oil
- Preservatives: citric acid
This one was noted as containing more binding agents, which I think I noticed while consuming it.
Also the only instance of organic cannabis extract listed as an ingredient.
Gummy is a flat disc. Pink in colour.
Gummy feels firm, not a sugary lattice. Gummy is very chewy. Has a solid feel with a foamy density. Is malleable. Would have lasted 30 minutes.
Simple strawberry flavour reminiscent of cotton candy. Zero cannabis tastes.
Price was $7.49, or $0.75 per mg of THC. About average for my purchase history of gummy products.
From what I can find in the legacy market (~650 listings of unlicensed gummy product) the average is about $0.36 per mg of claimed content, or about half of the average from my purchase history. Read more about it here.
10mg THC over one gummy.
Cotten candy strawberry flavour.
Flat disc shape.
Only gummy so far that specifies their cannabis as organic in the ingredients.
Has notably firm feel, I really had to chew it.
10mg content in a single gummy.
