JBuds Pink Slurricane
Hey pancakenap here, with JBuds' Pink Slurricane.
I was really impressed with this one. The buds look fantastic right out of the package—full-sized with dark purples. The flavour is a standout profile, blending a perfume-like floral note to create a taste that's truly special. I found myself savoring every moment, not wanting it to end. I even went back to Mendo hoping to find more from J Buds, but unfortunately, they were out of stock.
Lineage
The lineage of this strain follows the simple and traditional nomenclature of cannabis strain names, which I appreciate. Pink Slurricane is a cross of Pink Kush and Slurricane.
Visuals
The visuals on this offering are top-notch. While there might be a bit of stem that could've been trimmed (I'm not entirely sure), everything else is in top form. The trim is good, the coloring is very interesting, and the size is full and plump. My eighth was comprised of two larger buds and one small bud.
Scent
The aroma of the buds is flowery with a slight sweetness, almost like a geranium.
Grinding it unleashes a funky, sour, and citrusy accent among the floral bouquet. In the background, a bit of gas brings some heat to the sinus. The character seems more friendly, balanced towards the pink and violet tones, but there are some sharp edges to the profile.
Taste
The floral flavors bloom prominently at the forefront of the flavor profile, coupled with a fierce, perfumed gas tone that appears on the exhale, along with fruity, berry, and citrus notes. The composition is very nice, and again remains balanced in the floral tones, but offers a hefty amount of sour gas that makes it a delight to keep coming back to.
Summary
As I mentioned earlier, I thoroughly enjoyed this offering from JBuds. I returned to the Mendo store in hopes of finding more, but unfortunately, there was none. I would have been open to trying something else grown by JBuds, but there were no other options available. I truly enjoyed the experience, and I would purchase it again without hesitation if I came across it.
