I must admit, I’ve never been caught up in the hype of Gorilla Glue. Let’s see what we are missing.
Apparently, this cross started with accidental pollination between a intersexed Chem’s Sister (early Chemdawg phenotype) and a Sour Dubb (Sour Diesel x Sour Bubble). Those seeds were gifted by the grower, Joesy Whales, to a friend who later used them in a collaborative grow with Joesy that included what’s believed to be a Chocolate Diesel. From what I can gather, Chocolate Diesel is the pollen donator, to a female created from the original cross between Chem’s Sister and Sour Dubb.
Guess on Cultivar
During the blind review, I thought this was a ‘Skunk’, which is a crap guess. I use skunk as a general term to describe a certain collection of tastes, which is often unreliable, as UK Cheese differs greatly from Skunk #1 and Chemdawg, which I believe are all skunk derivations, if you go back far enough. With that being said, I don’t feel so bad, I have little experience with Gorilla Glue, so I shouldn’t be able to pick it out of the crowd.
You can read what I wrote for Hempfest below, I did pick out some of the major notes this cultivar is known for, I suppose. Otherwise, it was respectably mid-range, probably a C+ to B-, but didn’t make the cut for placement. Also, I see the dataset I’m using lacks cannabinoid content for this entry… This is ending on a downward tangent, isn’t it? I believe this is where a professional writer would restructure the text, conduct further research to leave on something sensational or, at the very least, have a concluding statement. But I’m still researching to determine if this is true, or not.
