Bubba Kush From Whistler Medical Marijuana Corporation

This is definitely high quality cannabis and despite the quick fading of taste I am pretty positive about it, especially with the discount I got. Not sure it’s worth the full asking price but if you find some in your possession you’re in for a treat.

Bubba Kush From Whistler Medical Marijuana Corporation

Squid Pants here looking at a medical offering, Bubba Kush from WMMC. Really can’t add much more so let’s get to it!

Bubba Kush

Lore puts the lineage as OG Kush X (probably Northern Lights, and I do detect some elements to scent and taste that scream Northern Lights to me but might be something else). Not much else to say, it’s been popular for a long time and although not trendy will likely remain a staple for a very long time to come.

Whistler Medical Marijuana Corporation

This is the medical side of Whistler Cannabis Co., a producer in Whistler BC now owned by Aurora. They use the word organic a lot so you can bet it’s expensive, but the quality is quite high so I’ll just pretend the premium in price is simply due to quality and not gimmicks.

Looks

Surface is rough, uneven and densely covered with trichomes. Trim is a little loose but shows off some purple tones in the sugar leaf. The surface is otherwise green with bright orange stigmas. Buds themselves are medium in size and look solidly packed.

Feel

Incredibly dense with perfect humidity. Pinching results in very little deformation and grinding gives a very satisfying feeling. Can only compliment here.

Scent

In the broad strokes we have sweet, sour and astringent along with the unmistakable scent of methyl salicylate (aka wintergreen, an ester, and here I shall blaspheme and admit that esters are scents I enjoy far more than most terpenes. Also tons of other types of scent and taste compounds etc. you know the deal by now). When focusing on the details herbaceous and earthy notes support and ground the main composition. After grinding additional hashy notes emerge while the wintergreen becomes more pronounced.

Taste

An earthier and more herbaceous OG Kush, which should be no surprise. There’s a hint of sweetness that stays on the pallett that provides a really nice element to the finish that slowly fades out.

I am reviewing this exclusively with my Volcano, and here the first real negative appears; tastes fade quite quickly. Flavours were completely spent long before the material itself was spent from cannabinoids.

Price and Value

This was a medical order from Aurora, and as a first time customer I was given a code for a nice discount. List price was $12.00 per gram but I paid about $8.40 per gram. The price I paid I feel quite good about, but full price I don’t think I would be so positive on. This cannabis was packaged on March 28th, 2023 and I opened it about 43 days later.

Conclusions

This is definitely high quality cannabis and despite the quick fading of taste I am pretty positive about it, especially with the discount I got. Not sure it’s worth the full asking price but if you find some in your possession you’re in for a treat.
