7ACRES Dos-Si-God OG

Priced slightly higher than the market average, this offering has unusual tastes, good performance and is a good chance to see good craft cannabis.

7ACRES Dos-Si-God OG

Hey pancakenap here. Thanks for joining me for today's review of 7ACRES' Dos-Si-God OG. This one was grown by Uprising in Alberta and processed by Tweed.

I'm not actually sure what Dos-Si-God OG is. After checking Archives' website, I found no record of a cross between their Do-Si-Dos and Godfather OG. That leads me to guess someone else bred this strain, which is perhaps disappointing. When it comes to Do-Si-Dos, there are Archive offerings, and there is everything else.

Dos-Si-God OG Lineage

The package calls this a cross of Do-Si-Dos and Godfather OG, the latter of which is listed on Uprising's website as something they grow. Maybe they did this cross, maybe it's something else. I'm just guessing now.

Visuals

The visual appeal of these buds is quite intriguing and lives up to expectations. One bud stands out with prominent fox-tailing, distinguishing it from the rounder buds in the package. My batch consists of medium-sized buds and smaller ones. The colour is consistent, and aside from the unique shape, there are no standout high-end features.

I discovered a few small seed pods in some areas, but they are negligible in size and not worth highlighting. Additionally, it's a common occurrence in Canadian cannabis products.

Feel

Feel is firm and spongy.

Scent

The aroma of the ground flower is skunky earth, accompanied by sweet grace notes that transition into a chewy jelly with grape overtones. The predominant character manifests in the sweet jelly, giving the overall experience a delightfully goofy feel.

Taste

The taste revolves around a slightly cooled and creamed earth tone, combining with skunky undertones for a dank opening. Secondary notes uplift the character with perfumed gas and mentholated grape, offering a near-minty finish. The composition is intriguing, earning a positive regard. The profile is crisp, with pronunciation slightly above average. Longevity is good, maintaining the gas flavours as it dries down into floral skunk.

Summary

I'm glad I saw this. I'd call the value proposition average. Depending what you're used to this could offer some higher level features with a slight uptick in price. If you're used to nice things, this will be in line but won't redefine any columns. I'd agree the real reason to see it is to see something from a smaller producer like Uprising.
